- Lead group responsible for monitoring applications, servers, and
networking for 2000 hosts located in 3 datacenters. Managed day-to-day
relationships with external customer service firm and over 40 clients.
- Initiated, designed, and oversaw $350,000 NOC redesign to improve
monitoring functionality, customer service, and capacity. Project was
completed on time, on budget, and with minimal impact to daily operations.
- Completely re-developed in-house monitoring tools to support being
configured from a web interface, tied in with the Server Inventory.
- Published over 232-pages of documentation on Inventory and Monitoring
tools.
- Implemented fresh install of Netcool/Omnibus 3.6, including setup of
Syslog and SNMP Trapd probes and auto-updating ISM configs
- Developed several applications for in-house use, including sending mass
one-time e-mails, posting operational documentation to intranet, etc.
